There’s a new Tamagotchi in town and it’s worthy of a celebration! Bandai America is adding the Tamagotchi Pix Party to the Tamagotchi family with new ways for kids to interact with their virtual pets. Kids can raise and nurture their alien pets as usual, but now they can also host parties for their Tamagotchi friends with balloons, confetti, group photos, new games, and even ways to cook for your guests.
Recommended for kids ages 6 and up, the new device will be available in two different shells: Confetti or Balloons. Players can find new Tamagotchi characters to discover and raise, in addition to new features like hosting a party or joining a friend’s party in the new party play areas, using the built-in Pix camera to take group photos of the celebrations, and a “cooking with friends” option that players can use to serve their party guests food.
There are also three new mini games. In Bingo, players can test their luck and win prizes when they get three matches in a row. In Gift Game, kids can gift an item to receive a present. In DJ Play, kids can swipe in the direction of the arrows to win.
The Tamagotchi Pix Party is available for presale starting today on Amazon for $59.99, with an official launch at mass and specialty retailers starting on June 30.
