WHAT IT IS
Hasbro’s Monopoly crawled into a sewer and mutated into an epic new game! This version of Monopoly is themed around Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, the iconic animated movie that came out last fall. Instead of traditional Monopoly money, players buy up properties like Sewer Lair, Staten Island Boat Graveyard, and the Bowling Alley using pizza pies and slices. Playing as Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, or Donatello, kids also must take on dangerous mutants each time they pass or land on GO to win bonus points. When kids roll the ninja action die along with the numbered die, they can activate a unique ninja ability that gives them a special boost. The game ends when the final mutant battle is over and the player who has the most points wins!
WHY WE LOVE IT
Everyone loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but we love them even more when they introduce fresh gameplay to one of our favorite board games! TMNT Monopoly may take some time to adjust to, but once you get going, it’s a breeze! The board also looks seriously epic, with lots of greens and purples that will get you in a mutant mood.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
As with any game of Monopoly, gameplay can take a long time and tensions run high. Dropping a hot slice of cheese pizza on the gameboard is not recommended.
