An iconic toy store is back at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota!
The Toys “R” Us resurgence continues with the opening of an all-new flagship store created in collaboration with Go! Retail Group. This is the second U.S. flagship for Toys “R” Us following the one that opened at American Dream in New Jersey two years ago, and the first of up to 24 planned for the year ahead.
At Mall of America, families can attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:00 am on Friday, during which the first 50 attendees will receive a special gift. Throughout the weekend, the store will host giveaways, offer activities, and families can get pictures taken with Geoffrey the Giraffe.
The new store features 11,000 square feet of the hottest new toys and games, just in time for the holiday rush.
Toys and holiday madness have a long history with the Mall of America as the largest retail and entertainment destination in North America previously served as a filming location for the 1996 holiday classic, Jingle All the Way. In the film, an epic rush took place as parents faced off against one another for an elusive Turbo Man action figure.
Next year, the Toys “R” Us flagship store at Mall of America will expand to offer Geoffrey’s Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor in addition to new, interactive experiences, events, and product demonstrations from an array of toy and game brands.
If you can’t make it to the Twin Cities to visit the newest Toys “R” Us flagship, you can visit Toys “R” Us at Macy’s shop-within-a-shop locations at more than 450 Macy’s stores across the U.S.
