Tree Town Toys is introducing kids to the basics of hand-drawn animation with its newest activity set.
The SpinAnimator Studio comes with 48 different paper animation strips, a fine-line pen, and 10 markers for kids to draw, color, and customize to tell their own stories. The set also includes a 12-page guide with animation tips and ideas to get the creative process started. By using the set, kids ages six and up can learn about sequencing, storytelling, and experimenting with frame-to-frame transitions.
Once a strip is filled with drawings, kids can load it into the SpinAnimator’s wheel and spin it to watch their animations come to life. The set is entirely kid-powered, so no batteries or apps are needed. With a parent or caregiver’s help, kids can print more strips once they run out, thanks to a special QR code on the packaging.
The SpinAnimator Studio is available on Amazon and at specialty retailers. Parents and caregivers can learn more about the set by visiting treetowntoys.com.
SPINANIMATOR STUDIO
Young artists color their own film strip, feed it into the SpinAnimator wheel, then spin it to set their art in motion. The original and Peanuts-themed sets each include 48 strips, 10 markers, a fine-line pen, and an instruction guide that fits into the storage tray.
