From the TV screen to the Manhattan sky, Bluey — from the Emmy-winning Disney+ and Disney Junior (and soon, Disney Channel) series — will join the 96th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year!
The Bluey series features the life and comical adventures of a Blue Heeler puppy and her family in Brisbane, Australia. Bluey’s hilarious antics always include her mom, dad, and little sister Bingo. The series is a favorite among kids and parents, as it displays the significance of family values to kids of all ages. The new Bluey-inspired parade balloon measures 51 feet long, 37 feet wide, and 52 feet tall. About 50 gallons of blue paint were used by Macy’s Parade Studio’s team to recreate Bluey in true form!

The parade is expected to bring in about 3.5 million viewers in person, as well as 50 million viewers nationwide. To watch Bluey and all of the other balloon adaptations of everyone’s favorite characters, viewers can follow along with the parade on NBC and Peacock on Nov. 24 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. To talk about Bluey’s debut with other fans on social media, spectators can use hashtags #BlueyBalloon and #MacysParade.
Bluey’s adventures don’t stop there: Bluey is also coming to Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 19, to bring fans Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show! The show will feature Bluey-inspired puppets; new storylines by the creator, Joe Brumm; and exclusive music by Bluey composer, Joff Bush. Fans can visit blueylive.com for more information and to buy tickets!
Don’t miss out on the chance to see Bluey make her first appearance in New York City this Thanksgiving!
