It’s the dawn of a new Angry Birds adventure!
Kilburn Live — an event company that specializes in live entertainment — and Rovio Entertainment —the creators of the Angry Birds mobile franchise — are teaming up to bring an interactive, touring theatrical production called Angry Birds Live: The Slingshot Adventure!
The first-ever Angry Birds stage show promises to feature popular characters from the Angry Birds movies, including Red, Silver, and Leonard. The birds embark on a hilarious misadventure in a new world and discover various challenges along the way.
But what makes this show so unique is that gameplay elements from the Angry Birds game are integrated into the live production. As the birds continue on their journey, the audience will influence the outcome of the show in a one-of-a-kind experience for viewers.
Although there are some unpredictable parts, the show itself was written by Hollywood screenwriters James Johnston and Bennet Yellin. Johnston and Yellin previously wrote for hit movies such as Dumb and Dumber and Stuck on You.
Although the schedule hasn’t been released yet, the show is set to begin touring in North American next year.
