What does it mean to be little? The answer may be trickier than you think!
A new book from author Mo Willems and publisher Union Square is ready to zoom in on the tiniest of life’s questions. A sequel to Are You Big?, this book takes a look at the little. Are You Small? brings young readers on a journey from an average-sized kid to something as tiny as a single quark.
Are You Small? is a non-fiction book designed for readers ages 3-5. The book features real science, colorful illustrations, and bold text. It aims to teach young readers about the relationship between size and scale as it highlights smaller and smaller things, from hamsters to cookie crumbs to water molecules. Each little thing comes with some reasons it might be considered big, such as it being a big deal when a small baby tooth comes out.
Mo Willems is a children’s book author known for popular works such as the Elephant & Piggie early reader series, Knuffle Bunny, and more. His debut book, Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, was honored with a place in the Picture Book Hall of Fame.
