BLAST OFF FOR FUN

  • Soar up to 200 feet
  • Launch up to 20 times on a single charge
  • Customize the rocket with the included decals

Blue Marble’s National Geographic Power Rocket is a USB-rechargeable rocket that can blast up to 200 feet into the air. It’s customizable using the included decal sheets and ready to fly after a 30-minute charge.

We might not be NASA, SpaceX, or Blue Origin, but our Toy Insider team has tested many rockets over the years. The beauty in this one is the simplicity: Push button. Blast off. Land. Repeat.

The Power Rocket can handle up to 20 launches on a charge, so one trip outside can turn into a full afternoon of “one more.” We especially like the three flight settings. The first few launches can stay relatively modest before kids decide they’re ready to see what 200 feet looks like.

Then there’s the return flight. Instead of simply dropping back to Earth, the rocket pops its rotor (using its sides as blades) and comes spinning down.

The included educational guide supports STEM learning by detailing the science behind aerodynamics, flight, and space.

When it comes to flight distance, take “up to 200 feet” seriously. Younger kids should have adult supervision, and the best launch site is an open field or spacious park. Do not launch this in your neighborhood. You don’t want to deal with rooftops, trees, or power lines.
