BUILD UP KNOWLEDGE WITH THESE PRETTY SETS

  • Build-your-own solar-powered flower
  • Learn about alternative energy sources
  • Available in four different colorways

Each SolarFlowers set from Thames & Kosmos features more than 100 pieces for tweens and teens to build up their own solar-powered flowers. Once it’s built, the solar-powered motor powers all of the petals through an expertly engineered system of gears. Kids can see them work together to demonstrate real-world mechanics and smooth, synchronized motion. The sets are available in four styles: Ruby Ripple, Sapphire Swirl, Golden Sunrise, and Purple Majestic.

SolarFlowers sets are packed with STEM learning. As kids build, they can explore motors, planetary gears, and renewable energy by discovering how solar cells convert sunlight into electricity. Once it’s built up, kids can mount it on a window with the included suction cup or attach it to the buildable flower stem for display.

Once built, the flowers work best in direct sunlight so they can gather the energy. If you have more than one kit, you can mix and match the pieces to create your own floral design.
