Wizards of the Coast, the company behind Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, is helping AdoptAClassroom.org bring Dungeons & Dragons to schools nationwide!
Through this program, teachers can apply to get a D&D library, which includes a player’s handbook, a Dungeon Master’s Guide, a Monster Manual, Candlekeep Mysteries, a D&D Essentials Kit, Creatures and Terrain D&D Campaign Cases, and a D&D Afterschool Club Kit, featuring a copy of D&D Starter Set: Dragons of Stormwreck Isle.
“Dungeons & Dragons is more than just a role-playing game that brings us together in our social lives,” says Wizards of the Coast President Cynthia Williams. “It is a powerful learning tool that can be used inside and outside the classroom, offering social, emotional, and creative benefits. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, we are hoping to provide teachers the resources they need to offer fun and engaging ways to empower students.”
Selected teachers will also get $100 to buy school supplies through the AdoptAClassroom.org marketplace. Teachers for grades 4-12 at high-needs schools with active AdoptAClassroom.org accounts can apply for the program here. D&D is a great way to teach kids problem-solving, collaboration, literacy and math skills, and more.
