There’s a new series for preschoolers coming to Netflix next month, and it takes place in the wonderful land of Oz! Dee & Friends in Oz chapters, or episodes, will debut on the streaming platform on Feb. 5.
In the fantasy-adventure musical, Dee meets new friends and must save the day — and the new land she discovered. The cartoon will focus on friendship, courage, confidence, and learning about yourself.
This is the first time the Oz property has been adapted and reimagined for a preschool audience in a series format, so you can tune in to history in-the-making. You’ll recognize characters inspired by the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion. The series is colorful and bright, with Dee wearing a sparkly skirt and rainbow-colored hair ties.

The series was created by 9 Story Media Group and Brown Bag Films. You might recognize their work on the popular kids’ TV show Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Watch the trailer above and make sure to set a reminder for Feb. 5.
