Kids can avoid screen time and get active with NSI International’s line of Laser X products. The latest additions to this ongoing line are the Laser X Ultra Micro Double B2 Blasters and the Laser X Ultra Double Blasters, which add colorful fun to at-home laser tag.

These blasters are active toys designed for kids ages 6 and up. Each set includes two white, lightweight blasters. The Micro Double B2 Blasters set includes just the blasters, which are — as the name suggests — smaller and have a built-in receiver. The standard Double Blaster set not only features larger blasters, but also comes with a set of wearable chest receivers.

Before kids can launch into battle, an adult needs to insert 3 AAA batteries at the bottom of each blaster’s handle. Then, thanks to the blasters’ simple settings, kids can spend more time playing rather than learning rules. Before starting the game, kids will select their team using the dial-style switch on the side of the blasters (and on the chest receiver of the full-size blasters).

Like all Laser X products, these blasters offer colorful ways to represent your team. The B2 blasters feature more than 10 color options, while the double blasters have more than 20. Kids’ selected team color will shine in multiple places on the body of the blaster so they can easily keep track of who is on their side.

The fun begins when kids use their blasters to take out the opposing team (or teams!). Kids can get a hit on their enemies by aiming their blasters at the mini blasters’ attached receiver or the double blasters’ chest receiver. If the receiver gets hit by the laser, it will let players know by changing colors. In a one-on-one game, the player who gets eight hits on their opponent first wins. Kids can quickly reload their blasters to get 10 hits by holding the B2 blasters’ trigger for two seconds or by immediately pulling and releasing the quick slide on top of the double blasters.

However, there are many ways to play with the Laser X Ultra blasters. Kids can change the playing field by taking their game indoors and outdoors at any time of day. Kids don’t have to feel confined, since these blasters can detect each other from hundreds of feet away. The B2 blasters have a 200-foot range, while the double blasters have a 300-foot range. The game of laser tag can also expand with additional blasters and gear from Laser X. All of the products are compatible, which means everyone can get in on the Laser X battle.

The blasters feature sound effects that can be helpful for gameplay, too, including action noises that happen every time kids go to shoot and reload. Kids may also use the toy’s constant beeping sound to reveal where an opponent could be hiding. The lights are also significant for laser tag. The bright and colorful display lights are easy to see from far distances, making it perfect (and safer!) for night-time games.

The Micro Double B2 Blasters and the Double Blasters are perfect for getting older kids and tweens up and active. Get ready to choose a team, reload, and have a blast!
