Bring Gym Battles Home with These New LEGO Pokémon Sets

The latest evolution of the LEGO Pokémon collection is officially here, and it’s shaping up to be the very best, like no one ever was.

The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International are blasting off again with five new sets for teens and trainers 10 and up to tackle. Whether you pick your favorite critter, a giant minifigure, or a Poké Ball display as your starter, one thing’s for sure: we can’t wait to build ‘em all. The lineup is available to preorder now, with an official launch slated for this fall. 

The collection’s critical hit is the LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball, a stunning 2,368-piece build that traces every step of a Pokémon trainer’s journey. Open the Poké Ball to reveal Professor Oak’s laboratory in the top half, complete with a library, computers, Pokédex tiles, and other accessories, while an epic gym battle rages below. It also includes three of the first-ever Pokémon Trainer minifigures — Professor Oak, Picnicker, and Red — with Pikachu and Eevee at their sides. 

For Fire-type fans, LEGO Pokémon Arcanine brings the heat. Standing about seven inches tall, this 1,190-piece model perfectly captures the Kanto creature’s spark, from his magnificent mane to the tip of his articulated tail. Paired with a movable head, mouth, legs, and feet, this piece is ready to pounce into your Pokémon display. 

While Munchlax is a Normal-type, its LEGO set is anything but. The plump Pokémon perches on a tree stump display base, snacking away on a bushel of apples. Fans can adjust his arms, legs, and head any which way; Munchlax will eat up every pose. With 757 pieces to put together, this set will definitely satisfy builders’ appetites. 

A legendary addition to the lineup, the LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza set reimagines the iconic Sky Pillar scene from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire in brick form. With the cloud-covered column base, the building set measures more than 15 inches tall and includes an exclusive Lorekeeper Zinnia minifigure, holding an Ultra Ball. You can also detach Rayquaza from the Sky Pillar, reconfigure its tail and body, and pose its jointed arms and head, making this 1,083-piece set super-effective. 

Lastly, families can build the LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure. This 930-piece set supersizes everything fans know and love about the character, from his iconic red hat and vest to his bright yellow backpack and trusty pin.
