Set aside your classic card games — a new player has joined the rotation! During Sly3, made by Jayme Self and Jorge Gutierrez, each player races to get rid of their cards first. There are several ways to play this 15-minute game, so families can mix it up each round.
To shed cards, players must match the card on top of the discard pile, beat it numerically, or take the full deck. There are three stages of cards to get rid of: Hand (your three regular cards), Open (three face-up cards that must be shed next), and finally, the sneaky Sly Cards. The Sly Cards are played last and face down. Once these are discarded, players enact the Blind Flip to see if the Sly Cards led to a winner or full-pile pick up. Special cards, like the Wild Paw card, are also thrown into the mix to change the pace.

There are multiple ways to play the game in 15 minutes. The standard gameplay features Chaos Mode, in which players match or beat the cards at any point (not just their turn). For younger players, Relaxed Mode, where Sly3 is turn-based, might be a better fit.
In the Outfoxed version, families continue playing until every single player is out of cards, not just the winner. To up the pressure, families can play Challenge Mode and remove two Swipe cards at a time. Sly3 can be played by 2-6 people — add another deck to create a round with 12 players and higher stakes.
Sly3 is designed for kids ages 7 and up — families can buy it now on Amazon and sly3game.com for $25.
