Get Your Cameras Ready for ‘Pokémon Go’ and ‘New Pokémon Snap’ Collab Event

Get ready to sharpen your focus!

On the chance that the date hasn’t been circled on your calendar for months, New Pokémon Snap will come to the Nintendo Switch family of devices on April 30. To celebrate, a New Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Go crossover event will begin on April 29.

Pokémon Go trainers will tackle photography-themed research tasks with the “New Pokémon Snap Celebration” from 10 a.m. local time on April 30 to 8 p.m. local time on May 2. They will be tasked with catching different types of Pokémon that are found across New Pokémon Snap’s Lental region and can grab (free!) camera-themed avatar items from the Pokémon Go Style Shop.

In addition to Venusaur, Dodrio, and Skarmory, trainers may even be able to catch a glimpse of the Painter Pokémon, Smeargle, which loves making appearances in Trainer’s snapshots. For a limited time, some lucky trainers could find Shiny Smeargle. Be sure to take lots of snapshots to catch ’em all.
