CircuitMess and Geek Club teamed up to create a new kit that’ll have kids dreaming of outer space. The DIY NASA-licensed Perseverance Space Rover includes everything needed to build a Mars rover and get right to exploring the environment around it. Kids can learn coding, electronics, and robotics, all while constructing and starting up their new favorite toy.
The Perseverance Rover has officially launched as a Kickstarter campaign. It can be operated through both RC and AI and is fully programmable. The Rover features a servo-powered sample collection arm, an AI-powered camera, and a dual-core processor with WiFi and Bluetooth. Kids and adults alike can learn the beginnings of coding or dive right into complex programs, depending on their level of knowledge.
Also featured in the Kickstarter campaign is the Artemis Watch, inspired by NASA’s upcoming Artemis III space suit; a solar-powered model of the Juno space probe; a DIY model of the Voyager space probe; and a scale DIY model of the Discovery space shuttle. NASA nerds won’t be able to resist!
The kit launched on Kickstarter just yesterday, Oct. 31, and is already fully funded with 33 days still left in the campaign. It includes tools such as a soldering iron, wire, protective glasses, and more. Head over to the official campaign page to back the project before Dec. 5.
