Growing up, every kid has contests in the backyard. Who can jump highest on the trampoline? Who can throw the fastest baseball? Playfinity expands these childhood competitions beyond the backyard so that kids can compete with other players around the world. Right now, Playfinity has three different products: the Backyard League Baseball, High5, and JumpGames.

The Backyard League Baseball set features a ball that can track players’ accuracy, throw speed, and throw distance. The Backyard League Baseball app collects the data and uses a virtual coach to help kids improve their baseball skills. If kids are playing with friends, they can add guest players to their profile to build their own stats. For an extra challenge, they can even compete with players across the world. Designed for kids ages 6-14, the Backyard League Baseball is the same size, shape, and weight as a regulation baseball, just like the real deal! The Backyard League Baseball is available for $99.99.

JumpGames adds a competitive element to the backyard trampoline. Kids can strap the device around their ankle and start bouncing. Each bounce is put on the global leaderboard on the JumpGames app, so kids can compare their jumping skills to other kids around the world. Kids can also design their own trampoline-based games, assigning points to different tricks and competing with their friends or against themselves. The sensor’s battery lasts for up to 80 hours, making the bouncy possibilities endless! JumpGames is available for $79.

Finally High5 is a softball-size ball and matching app that kids can use to play games, including Hot Potato, and compete for fastest and farthest throws. The High5 is designed for all ages, so everyone can get in on the fun! It is available for $79.
Combining backyard play with the virtual world adds a competitive edge to childhood fun. Even if kids don’t have neighbors or siblings to play with, the world is full of potential playmates.
