Disney Animation Studios’ latest action-packed adventure story is coming to screens soon — and you’ll want to find out what it’s all about!
A thrilling new trailer, posters, voice cast, and character list debuted today for Raya and the Last Dragon. The film has a number of stand-out voice actors and actresses, featuring Kelly Marie Tran as warrioress Raya, Awkwafina as the witty dragon, Gemma Chan as nemesis Namari, Daniel Day Kim as Raya’s wise father Benja, and Sandra Oh as Namari’s powerful mother, among others. Raya and the Last Dragon follows the magical world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons co-existed long ago. But when an evil force threatened Kumandra, dragons sacrificed themselves for their human companions. Now, 500 years later, this evil has returned to wreak havoc on the land — and a lone warrioress, Raya, has stepped up to the challenge. Her mission is to track down the legendary last dragon and restore the division between Kumandra’s people. Along the way, Raya will learn that strength and dragon-power aren’t all that it takes to save the world — she’s going to need trust and teamwork as well.
The film will be available on Disney+ with Premiere Access at the same time as its release date in theatres on March 5. Families can purchase Premiere Access for the title for $29.99.
