If your family loved Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon, or even if you haven’t gotten around to watching it yet, consider your weekend plans sorted.

Disney is honoring Southeast Asian culture with special “Weekend of Raya” events this Saturday and Sunday. Raya and the Last Dragon takes place in the Southeast Asian-inspired fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons once lived together in harmony. When the sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, the Druun have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to find the last dragon to stop the Druun for good.

This weekend’s events will celebrate the movie and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with the help of AsianBossGirl podcast hosts Melody Cheng, Helen Wu, and Janet Wang. Follow @asianbossgirl on Instagram to keep up with all of the activities, including virtual cooking classes, shadow puppet performances, games, and activities.

Raya and the Last Dragon star Kelly Marie Tran (who plays the voice of Raya) will join Omsom co-founders and sisters Vanessa and Kim Pham for an Instagram cooking demonstration on Saturday, May 22 at 2 p.m. EDT. Follow along on Instagram for a virtual cooking class using one of the starters from the limited-edition Southeast Asian Omsom Sampler. If you can’t join in live, Pepper Teigen, author of The Pepper Thai Cookbook, will also host a step-by-step cooking demo for coconut pancakes. The video will be available to watch on Instagram the morning of Saturday, May 22.

Fans can watch a Southeast Asian shadow puppet performance adaptation of the Raya and the Last Dragon Little Golden Book on the Disney Movies YouTube channel. Girl Tales, a podcast that features strong female characters in reimagined fairytales, will also give their own take on Raya’s story.

Families can visit Disney Movie Insiders to access activity sheets, coloring pages, maze games, recipe cards, and print-outs to create their own Raya and Sisu shadow puppets. Members of Disney Movie Insiders can log into the app to explore the world of Kumandra in a Raya and the Last Dragon augmented reality experience.

Raya and the Last Dragon is now available to watch anytime on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD with bonus footage and deleted scenes.
