Chirp, chirp! Listen closely: The birds are chirping as Amazon gets ready to launch the new preschool animated series Do, Re & Mi in September.
The Amazon Original series stars Kristen Bell, Jackie Tohn, and Luke Youngblood as singing birdie buddies going on delightful adventures. The series will feature catchy, original songs across multiple genres to introduce kids to new melodies while teaching them how music can help solve any problem.
Do, Re & Mi will debut on Sept. 17 on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Kids+, with toys, a book, and a mobile game to follow. Jazwares will launch a toy line based on the series, available exclusively on Amazon this fall. The toys will include plush versions of Do the owl, Re the hummingbird, and Mi the blue jay, as well as interactive musical instruments, playsets, and more. The toys will all incorporate the show’s themes of friendship, adventure, and the positive power of music.
Kids can dive further into the show with the Do, Re & Mi: Musical Adventure, a mobile game featuring multiple mini-games that incorporate music education, such as following a beat, music vocabulary, and instrument identification. The game will soon be available for download via the iOS App Store, the Android Google Play Store, and the Amazon App Store, as well as existing within the Amazon Kids+ environment.
Two Lions — the kids’ imprint of Amazon Publishing — will launch The Mysterious Beat, an illustrated storybook that retells the first episode of Do, Re & Mi. The book will be available for purchase in paperback and on Kindle on Sept, 17. The paperback edition will include a set of 20 stickers. Amazon Kids+ and Kindle Unlimited subscribers will receive free access to the Kindle edition, while Prime members will get free access through Prime Reading.
Educators and families can also help kids build basic musical skills with the Do, Re & Mi teacher and family guide. Each episode has a comprehensive learning experience that focuses on the social, emotional, character, and musical elements from the story. All materials for the first six episodes will launch on Sept. 17 with the series on Prime Video | DoGoodery Film Resources & Media Literacy.
