Bigshot Toyworks, the award-winning creative studio, has introduced Here There Bear, a fully poseable plush designed to help kids unplug and engage with the world around them.
The project is now live on Kickstarter, giving caregivers the chance to support its production and receive a first edition 10-inch bear in black or brown ($45-50). Stretch goals for the project include a 6-inch posable clip-on bear ($35), a tote bag ($35), and a plush pouch with zipper ($25), exclusive to Kickstarter. For $100, supporters can purchase the bear, clip-on, and plush pouch. Grownups have until Sept. 5 to pledge their support.
Designed with caregivers in mind, Here There Bear offers a modern, three-dimensional take on Flat Stanley, the beloved classroom project where kids would mail a paper cutout to friends and family across the country, documenting its adventures. This time, the bear is the star — a soft, huggable, and articulated travel companion that invites kids to take it outside, dress it up, and create their own stories.
Whether it’s a trip to the park, the grocery store, or a family vacation, Here There Bear turns everyday moments into memory-making opportunities. It’s a screen-free activity that encourages creativity, mindfulness, and real-world connection — all wrapped up in an irresistibly cute design.
Kids (and grown-ups!) can share the bear’s journeys online using the hashtag #HereThereBear, turning solo adventures into a shared creative community. The project also encourages DIY fun, with companions creating custom outfits and accessories to personalize the bear.
As Bigshot Toyworks expands its original in-house offerings, Here There Bear reflects the studio’s ongoing mission to deliver thoughtful, design-forward toys that promote meaningful play.
