The start of school is creeping up, and for kids who are going for the first time or may feel different from their peers, it can be a very scary time.

Random House Children’s Books, in partnership with Warner Bros./DC Comics, is releasing a book called A Lot Like Batman to help kids in these kinds of situations.

The story is about a young child who faces his greatest challenge ever — going to school. This Caped Crusader prefers to stick to the shadows and play alone. Although he doesn’t initially fit in with the more outgoing kids at school, he eventually learns throughout the story that he has plenty to offer as himself on his own terms.

Written by author and illustrator Keith Negley, this jacketed hardcover picture book will be available on Sept. 5 for kids ages 2 and up to find their inner superhero.
