WHAT IT IS
Artificial Imagery’s Imagix Crystal Ball is a kid-forward artificial intelligence (AI) toy. The crystal ball features two interactive holographic characters, Ellie the Fairy and Ember the Dragon, which appear through LED lights and 3D imagery. Families can ask Ellie and Ember to tell them stories, teach them about various topics, create poems, play trivia games, and more. As kids converse with the AI-driven characters, both Ellie and Ember will mold to their language, ideas, and imagination.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Kids can practice their conversational and listening skills with Ember and Ellie, as each character responds with detail. While the characters remember their interactions with kids for personalized experiences — including favorite colors and stories — Artificial Imagery notes that the toy does not save private, personal details that kids may share. Kids can also learn about different subjects by conversing with the characters, eliminating the need to browse the internet.
Families will discover Ellie and Ember’s history as creatures from an enchanted world as they chat, play games, solve riddles, and more. The characters are designed to mirror emotional growth through soft yet fun tones, allowing little ones to participate in healthy conversations. Families can use the single Action Button or voice commands to control the crystal ball. Parents can monitor the interactions with the Imagix Portal App.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
The toy has a physical off switch for the microphone, ensuring privacy. The Imagix device will update over time to showcase new content, mini games, and more when connected to the internet. Families will need to plug the toy into an outlet for optimal results.
