WHAT IT IS
Spin Master‘s Bitzee Aquarium offers kids a stress- and liquid-free way to care for their digital marine pets. Kids can discover more than 30 different kinds of creatures, care for them through playtime and mealtime, and watch as they grow and evolve. They can also use the dial to customize the tank’s colors, play a variety of games, and shop for their animals. Kids ages 5 and up can place the included pellets into the opening to “feed” and “hatch” new friends and put their finger in the larger opening to “pet” their digital buddies.
WHY WE LOVE IT
Kids will feel like they’re truly interacting with their virtual pets as they pet and feed the fish using the tank’s off-screen elements. The aquarium is compact, doesn’t require water, and has a handle on top so kids can take it on car trips and restaurant visits. Certain pets require two baby forms to fuse and evolve, giving kids numerous pets to discover and making playtime exciting.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW
The aquarium’s five small pellets are for kids to feed and hatch their pets, so parents will want to supervise young kids to prevent potential choking. This tech toy is powered by AA batteries, which are included, but parents should make sure to stock up. When petting the pets, kids should avoid touching the screen to prevent disruption or damage to the display.
PERFECT FOR
Kids who love trips to the aquarium; younger kids who want a pet of their own; rainy day play
