CAMP Canteen in Chicago

Calling all campers! CAMP, the family experience company with eight locations across the country, has planted the flag for its first-ever destination in The Windy City!

The 7,500-square-foot destination in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood is opening in phases over the next month. Described as “part toy store, part party venue, part immersive theater space,” CAMP Chicago features a “Canteen” retail space alongside the Midwest outpost’s first “Magic Door” experience: Doodles x CAMP.

The 2,000-square-foot Canteen opened its doors to guests today and will be followed by the full Doodles x CAMP experience beginning August 19.

The Doodles x CAMP experience invites families to explore tunnels and mushroom-filled Lost Caves, as kids zip down a rainbow slide and emerge in fluffy pink Cosmic Clouds. Families can also do arts and crafts under 12-foot-tall daisies in the Flower Forest, jam on interactive synth noisemakers and play alien arcade games in the Mothership, and create Doodles characters in Rainbow Valley.

CAMP promises an exclusive range of co-branded Doodles apparel and accessories and is planning nighttime events for grown-ups only.

Following its limited engagement in Chicago, the Doodles x CAMP experience will move to another CAMP location and the Chicago store will take on another theme.

Tickets for the Doodles x CAMP experience are on sale now at camp.com.
