spin master cool maker go glam nail stamper

Next time, ditch the nail salon and use the Cool Maker Go Glam Nail Stamper instead.

This at-home nail studio is the latest innovation in Spin Master‘s Cool Maker line — and let me tell you, I’m in love. The Go Glam Nail Stamper comes with everything kids need to make salon-quality nails with super cute designs, and considering that they’re getting a full manicure, it’s really easy to use.

The DIY kit comes with blue and purple nail polish, a top coat, five pattern pods — including trendy styles, such as unicorns, cupcakes, flamingos, hearts, and cats — a stamper, and a travel bag with a nail file. Additional Go Glam Pattern Pack and Mini Pattern Pack refills are available separately, which come with additional nail polish colors and nail stamper styles. The Go Glam Nail Stamper comes with everything kids need to decorate 125 nails, or roughly 12 full manicures. And, be warned: While there is never such thing as “too much glitter,” the Go Glam bag may leave a delightful amount on whatever it touches.

To start, pick the pattern pod you want to use. Make sure the tape is flat inside the pattern pod and push it into the back of the stamper until you feel a click. Without sounding like an infomercial, it really is as simple as that. When you want to change the pattern or design, press the eject button for the pod to seamlessly pop out.

Then, pick either blue or purple (or both!) polish to paint your nails with. Use one thin layer of the Go Glam nail polish and let it dry for five minutes. I can’t stress the importance of it waiting for the polish to dry completely, or else the stamp won’t stay on the nail! Then, slide your finger into the stamper, press on the pattern button, and let go. Voila! Lastly, paint each layer with the top coat to ensure that the stamps will stay in place. These polishes are “kid friendly” and the top coat included is a bit weak compared to a regular top coat, so if you want your mani to last a few days, I recommend that you use a top coat that you already have at home. As far as taking it off, you can use regular nail polish remover.

This set is made for kids ages 8 and up, so this item is perfect for teens and tweens (and 20-somethings) to stamp and style their own custom nails. It was so fun giving people around Toy Insider HQ manicures, because the end result was super cute, and the process was shockingly simple. Please @ me on Twitter to book an appointment if you’d like your nails to be on point.

Keep in mind that the stamps will only work with the provided nail polish. I tested it to work on my now seemingly very boring, existing manicure with regular nail polish and the stamps did not stick. So, I am walking around without a unicorn pattern on my nails, which makes life very sad.

Kids can make custom manicures in minutes with the Cool Maker Go Glam Nail Stamper. It makes a fun sleepover party activity and is a great gift for birthdays and the holidays. It’s as easy as paint, pop, and press!
