WHAT IT IS
Little ones can get their first taste of camping with Fisher-Price Friendship Forest, a collection of infant and toddler toys from Mattel, each built around familiar outdoor adventures.
The Light-Up Campfire has glowing, crinkly flames and a roly-poly base. The Sort & Store Tackle Box combines shape sorting with six blocks and a fishing net. The 13-inch Bat & Wobble Inflatable Bear has a weighted bottom that pops him back up when babies give him a whack, with little “blueberries” bouncing around inside his belly. And the Activity Lunchbox comes packed with mix-and-match pretend food. And that’s just the start, with no tent assembly required!
WHY WE LOVE IT
There’s something whimsical about making camping gear for people who can’t walk yet.
Friendship Forest takes that idea and runs with it. Baby can sit around a campfire, go fishing, encounter a bear, and then make “lunch,” all without leaving the living room.
Beyond the theme, we like that the four toys don’t simply repeat the same activity with different woodland decorations. The Campfire is about lights, texture, and movement. The Tackle Box gives little hands something to grab, match, and sort. The Bear invites babies to bat away and watch him come wobbling back for more. And the Activity Lunchbox adds some culinary flair to the adventure. Put them together, and you’ve got a tiny campsite with quite a bit going on.

But wait, did we say “four” toys? Oh no, this is where the old “But wait, there’s more!” comes in. The line includes at least three additional toys that you can find at Walmart right now: the Pull-Along Camper, Doodle Pro Brown Bear, and Forest Ball Drop Mountain. For readers in international markets, look out for the Friendship Forest Activity Grill. There’s no word yet on whether that one will make it to the U.S., but it’s out there!
