It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and families can soon pay a visit to Mister Rogers’ neighborhood. The Fred Rogers Foundation will bring a new exhibit to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh this fall. This interactive exhibit is filled with fun activities for families to do together.
The new exhibit, called It’s A Beautiful Day to Be You: Inspired by Mister Rogers, Daniel Tiger & Donkey Hodie, will premiere Oct. 3 and run through Jan. 3, then travel across North America through 2029.
Kids will be able to travel to The Land of Make-Believe through Trolley’s tunnel (waiting their turn at the traffic light) and learn about kindness through an Enchanted Garden experience, where they pick a flower, give it some care, and help it grow. Then, join an out-of-this-world space party in Purple Panda’s spaceship and create music with buttons and levers.
Admission to the exhibit will be included with the purchase of a general admission ticket. The exhibit is part of a project funded by Fostering Character Through Children’s Museums. This Lilly Endowment Inc. program helps children’s museums develop exhibits that encourage positive character traits among kids.
