Future scientists can start to prepare for the lab! Beloved YouTuber Hank Green, known for his educational videos, is releasing a new content app, ClockwiseTV.
Designed for kids ages 8 and up, ClockwiseTV features ad-free videos from creators in the science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) space. All videos and creators are vetted by a team, so guardians can relax rather than peering over their kids’ shoulders.
The application includes educational videos from Odd Animal Specimens, Evan and Katelyn, Complexly, MinutePhysics, Green, and others.
Of course, kids shouldn’t spend all their time on their devices, even if they’re watching safe content. To prevent excessive screen time, caregivers set session lengths before handing the tablet over. ClockwiseTV recommends videos that fit in the timeframe and match kids’ interests. The platform doesn’t offer autoplay or an endless feed, so guardians don’t have to wrestle the tablet back mid-video.
Early access to ClockwiseTV ($39.99) is available for both iPad and Android tablets. The fee includes an entire year of curated STEAM content.
