In celebration of Earth Day this year, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and publisher What on Earth Books have issued kids worldwide a challenge to illustrate their vision for a sustainable world. Kids are invited to send a drawing of how they envision the world or how they think they can help save and change it to whatonearthbooks.com.
The Prince’s Foundation, of which His Royal Highness is president, has released a video of him reading the foreword he wrote for It’s Up To Us, an inspiring kids’ book about climate change and the result of the foundation’s collaboration with What on Earth Books.
The book is written by world history author Christopher Lloyd and illustrated by 33 artists from all over the world — including Iceland, North America, Europe, Kenya, Aboriginal Australia, Korea, Japan, and China. It starts with a beautiful and thought-provoking introduction to nature, then moves on to the threats the planet is facing, and finishing with a future plan of action. Initially released in the UK last November, the book is now being released across the U.S. and China due to its success.
