Parents who need a helping hand with their COVID-19 home-schooling agendas can get some fresh ideas from an upcoming Music in the “Classroom” seminar.
Kids’ musician Laurie Berkner is hosting a one-hour livestream full of tips for using her songs in educational play or structured learning at home. The tips will help parents and caregivers to engage kids with melody and rhythm by using their voices, bodies, percussion instruments, and other props. It will also share ideas for developing gross and fine motor skills through movement and finger play.
Berkner’s music has appeared on Nick Jr., SiriusXM, and in her Audible Original Series, Laurie Berkner’s Song and Story Kitchen.
The Music in the “Classroom” seminar will take place live on Wednesday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. EDT on Berkner’s Facebook page. The event is free of charge.
