Chuck E. Cheese is a place where a kid can be a kid, and this stays true for World Autism Month.
As part of its World Autism Month initiative, Chuck E. Cheese partners with Autism Speaks to host fundraisers and events dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for kids with autism.
Kids can experience sensory-sensitive fun with two events taking place on April 7 and 28. From 9-11 a.m., families can attend Sensory Sensitive Sunday, which offers a quieter environment, dimmed lighting, and trained staff to ensure a safe visit.
Along with these fun-filled events, Chuck E. Cheese will raise funds for Autism Speaks throughout April. To reach their goal of $50,000, the company will donate a portion of its cotton candy sales, donate 10% of all April sales made in the online shop, and encourage guests to round up their purchases to the next dollar.
When World Autism Month ends, families can still experience Sensory Sensitive Sundays on the first Sunday of each month. The fun centers will open two hours early for kids with sensory sensitivities.
