This September, Star Trek will have officially lived long and prospered for 60 years. Whether you’re a longtime Ensign or part of the next generation, families can all celebrate the sci-fi series together with an all-new LEGO set.
While the first LEGO Star Trek model replicated the exterior of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, this new building set beams fans directly inside the legendary starship as it appeared in The Original Series. It features two iconic set pieces — the bridge and the transporter room — each dripping with details and Easter eggs for fans of all ages. You can preorder the LEGO set now for $199.99.
On board, fans can spot everything from computer stations and working turbo lift doors to transporter platforms that activate with the turn of a dial. The captain’s chair shimmies and shakes when the Enterprise hits turbulence, while a LEGO Klingon warrior watches from the viewscreen. Once complete, the 1,701-piece model is entirely modular, so fans can swap out and switch around the rooms until they have the perfect piece for their Delta Quadrant display.
The crew includes eight brand-new minifigures: James T. Kirk, Spock, Nyota Uhura, Hikaru Sulu, Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Pavel Chekov, Christine Chapel, and Montgomery “Scotty” Scott. Each comes armed with its own fleet of accessories, including Spock’s harp, two Vulcan Lirpas, a Trident Scanner, two Starfleet communicators, and the first-ever LEGO phasers. There are even a few tribbles stowing away — just make sure you don’t feed them too much!
The LEGO Icons U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge is now available for preorder on LEGO.com, with an official launch slated for Sept. 1, just in time for the franchise’s 60th anniversary. To learn more about the set, visit LEGO.com/star-trek.
