The dog days of summer are sadly winding down, which means it’s almost time for kids to head back to school. Maybe they can find some comfort in Lucy’s School, a new Peanuts special that celebrates educators as the Peanuts gang gets ready for a new school year.
In the special, the characters from Charles M. Schulz’s classic Peanuts comic strip are feeling anxious about starting at a new school in the fall, inspiring Lucy to start her own school instead. Along the way, she realizes that teaching is harder than it looks.
Produced for Apple TV+ by Peanuts and WildBrain, Lucy’s School is a love letter to teachers, showing appreciation for the impact teachers can have on their students. It will help viewers explore the fear of change as shows how Lucy faces and overcomes her own fears with a little help from her friends.
Lucy’s School debuts on Apple TV+ on Friday, Aug. 12. Peanuts fans can also tune into the second season of The Snoopy Show, premiering the same day. Watch the trailer for Lucy’s School below!
