The season of wishes is upon us!
It’s been two years since Moose Toys‘ Magic Mixies Magical Misting Cauldron hit the scene, inspiring kids around the world to conjure up some “magical” friends. Following the success of the Cauldron and last year’s Crystal Ball, now “real magic” has returned to make wishes come true in new ways.
The Magic Mixies Magic Genie Lamp is a mysterious, golden lamp that houses a Genie Mixie that’s just waiting to be unleashed!
Kids will need to awaken the Genie Mixie from its slumber by knocking on the side of the lamp. Should the Genie be a heavy sleeper, pressing the gem-shaped button will ring a bell that gets the magical creature up and moving. When the gem flashes white, kids will hear the Mixie inside as they’re prompted to put on a magical ring and follow additional steps to release their new friend.
A series of challenges invites kids to play with the Genie Mixie through sound- and motion-based interactions. The lamp features more than 60 different lights, sounds, and reactions, and the experience culminates with mist rising from its spout. When kids say the magic words — “Magicus Mixus!” — the Genie Mixie will rise from within the lamp and reveal itself.
Kids can name their Genie and use the magic ring to interact with it across three different modes: Wish Granting, Play, and Chat. A light-up gem on the Mixie’s forehead acts as a signal to grant or deny wishes.
Play value is important, and parents and other gift-givers should know that this is not a one-and-done reveal. Kids can reset the Magic Mixies Magic Genie Lamp so that they can perform the misting reveal again and again with Magical Mist Refill Packs sold separately.
