These new versions of your favorite Marvel heroes are definitely super — super CUTE!
The original figures — which debuted back in 2021 — had mostly normal proportions and a full-scale, square diorama background. However, these new Superama figures have a new look. The new wave of Superama collectibles feature big heads on smaller bodies and a more scaled-back, shaped background. The revamped line features characters including Spider-Man, Hulk, Black Panther, Groot, Venom, and Carnage.
These new Superama figures are better for larger collections: The figures are around 4 inches tall and have a smaller base than the originals, making it easier to fit them into a display of figures or a bookshelf. Designed for preteens ages 8 and up, these figures also offer a cuter, more stylized design than their predecessors.
Much like the original wave of Superama figures, kids will really like that they can swap figures between dioramas. Putting their favorite heroes into new scenes makes new creative moments, whether they make Black Panther fly through the New York City skyline or have Hulk float around on an alien planet.
I hope that The Loyal Subjects expands the Superama line more in the future. Down the line, it would be great to see characters like Captain America, Doctor Strange, and the Scarlet Witch join the collection. Right now, my favorite figure is definitely Baby Groot, who is dancing around on a planet far away from Earth.
The figures are also great for in-the-box collectors who like to display their prizes in their original packaging. The Superama figures come in window-box packaging that shows off both the figure and its diorama. The background of the box also flows seamlessly with the diorama, expanding on the original scene.
Whether you’re looking to expand your personal collection or looking for affordable Marvel decor for a tweenager’s bedroom, the Marvel Superama figures add fun and atmosphere to bookshelves and other displays.
