Nick News always tackles the important topics, and this weekend, it’s putting the spotlight on climate change.
The Earth Day special, Nick News: Kids and the Impact of Climate Change, will take on environmental issues, educating kids on the importance of protecting the planet in the process. CBS News correspondent Jamie Yuccas will host the show, and there will be appearances from U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, John Kerry; football player Rob Gronkowski; actress Lily Collins; actress Liza Koshy; actress and activist Skai Jackson; and others.
The Nickelodeon special will also look at environmental racism, featuring first-hand stories from real people. There will also be a roundtable where kids educate their parents on environmental issues and ways they can make more eco-friendly choices; an explanation of the Paris Climate Agreement and terms like carbon footprint and greenhouse gases; and the results of a climate quiz about environmental issues from nickplay.com.
Nick News: Kids and the Impact of Climate Change will air on Saturday, April 17, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT), followed by encores across Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, and TeenNick on Earth Day (Thursday, April 22). It will also be available on nickhelps.com.
