Nickelodeon held its annual Upfront Presentation yesterday in New York City to announce all of the exciting plans for your kids’ favorite shows — and tons of new shows to look forward to. The list includes a new character voiced by Cardi B for Baby Shark’s Big Show!, a Blue’s Clues movie, a Transformers animated series, and so much more.

Baby Shark’s Big Show! is getting a new character and you just might recognize her voice. Cardi B, and her family, Offset and Kulture, will lend their voices to a special episode of the animated series. Families can prepare to have a new song stuck in their head for the rest of time as “The Seaweed Sway” premieres on Friday, April 15. A Baby Shark movie is also in development for Paramount+.

“Hi there, face here!” Beloved ‘90s Nick Jr. mascot Face is making a comeback for a new generation of preschoolers in a new variety show that combines animation and live-action. Face’s Music Party will debut this summer with a reimagined Face (voiced by Cedric Williams) as host and VJ, playing modern pop hits and revamped nursery school classics.

Blue’s Clues & You! is heading into its fifth season as Josh (Josh Dela Cruz) and Blue skidoo into even more adventures, help out in their community, perform dance numbers, sing along to original new music, and get visits from fan-favorite characters, including Rainbow Puppy, Periwinkle, and Magenta. The original movie Blue’s Big City Adventure will debut on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon, and a live tour Blue’s Clues & You! Live on Stage will kick off this fall in the U.S.

PAW Patrol is returning for a 10th season, produced by Spin Master Entertainment. Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, Everest, and Tracker, will go on even more action-packed rescue missions and adventures. The brand is hitting its 10th anniversary next year and will launch the TV series’ first-ever spin-off centering on Rubble. The movie sequel PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie will also release next year.

SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Squidward, will dive into new adventures with a 14th season of SpongeBob SquarePants, the most-watched kids’ animated series for 20 consecutive years. Bikini Bottom continues to expand with more episodes of the first two spinoff series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years and The Patrick Star Show (which was recently picked up for a second season), along with three character-driven movies launching exclusively on Paramount+, and a fourth theatrical release from Nickelodeon Animation currently in development.

Transformers is getting an animated action-comedy series with Transformers: EarthSpark premiering globally on Paramount+ in November. Produced in partnership between Nickelodeon Animation and Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne), the series introduces a new generation of Transformers robots — the first Transformers robots to be born on Earth — that live with a human family that cares for them, redefining what it means to be a family. The franchise will continue to expand next summer with Paramount Pictures’ Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and with an untitled animated Transformers film from Paramount Animation and eOne debuting in July, 2024.

HexVet is an animated preschool series based on the BOOM! Studios graphic novels by Sam Davies. The CG and 2D-hybrid adventure-comedy series follows unlikely best friends Nan and Clarion as they navigate life’s weird and wacky challenges, while apprenticing to be magical veterinarians for fantastical creatures.

Bossy Bear will debut as an animated preschool series based on the popular book series by David Horvath. Produced in partnership with Imagine Kids+Family, the series follows the misadventures of Bossy Bear, an overly-enthusiastic extrovert, and Turtle, a thoughtful introvert as they navigate silly childhood adventures in their Koreatown-inspired city of Pleasantburg.

Big Nate will head into Season 2, following Nate and his best friends as they navigate sixth grade with humor and style. The series debuted on Paramount+ last month, marking the service’s biggest original kids’ animation launch to date. Season 2 will dive deeper into the backstories of Nate’s friends, introduce Nate’s grandparents, and more.

Middlemost Post will debut Season 2 as Parker, Angus, and Russell deliver the mail to the unusual inhabitants of Mount Middlemost. Along the way, they’ll enter Greenwood’s secret wrestling competition, discover one of Burt’s new talents, befriend a mysterious mountain recluse, and meet Lily’s family for the first time.

Blaze and the Monster Machines heads into Season 7 with themed storylines for preschoolers, including epic special missions, mighty mechanical rescues with Robot Riders, and high-flying adventures with Super Wheels.

On the live-action front, Are You Afraid of the Dark? will return for a third season called Are You Afraid of the Dark?: Ghost Island featuring four episodes. The horror anthology miniseries will introduce new members of the Midnight Society as they gather around the campfire to share another spooky story. Produced by ACE Entertainment, the new season will follow this new group of kids as they go on what they thought would be a fun summer vacation on a resort island, until they learn about something sinister haunting the guests.

Nickelodeon Studios is set to begin production on a new original live-action series based on the animated show, The Loud House, premiering later this year on Paramount+. Dora the Explorer is returning with a live-action series for older fans and an animated series for preschoolers, both coming to Paramount+. Mattel’s Monster High franchise is also coming alive with a live-action musical based on the Monster High franchise just in time for Halloween. Fans can also look forward to a an animated Monster High series from Mattel Television.

Kids in the Los Angeles area (or families heading out on vacation there) can attend NickFest this fall. Nickelodeon will debut a two-day slime-filled festival from October 22-23 in Los Angeles for kids and families, featuring music performances by pop stars and experiential moments with the brand’s most beloved shows and characters.
