A new generation of young readers can experience their first “kid on the street” book recommendation with the Reading Rainbow Live once-in-a-lifetime, interactive event.
Reading Rainbow inspired millions of kids who have now grown into adult readers to love reading and browsing through the library stacks. Now, for the first time ever, Reading Rainbow viewers will be able to interact with the cast during the episode using the virtual platform Looped. Attendees can play games with The Rainbows and even see themselves on the stage virtually during the event.
More information emerged about the show, including the “kid inventors” theme. One of the confirmed featured books is Be A Maker by Katey Howes. Be A Maker is a picture book encouraging kids to get creative and make something new everyday. The run of the show will stick to many of the same classic elements including the book of the day and singing along to the Reading Rainbow theme song.
