If your little one has trouble sleeping without you, there’s a new book that might make them feel better about their first night away: Sleepy Sheepy and the Sheepover

The story comes from author Lucy Ruth Cummins and illustrator Pete Oswald — you might recognize Cummins’ work in Our Pool or Oswald’s art in The Sour Grape

In Sleepy Sheepy and the Sheepover, the main character heads to his grandparents house for his first sleepover! It’s all fun and games until Sleepy Sheepy heads to bed. He can’t seem to fall asleep, his blankets scratch, and his pajamas don’t match.

He also misses home, something that readers might be able to relate to during their own sleepovers. Families can follow along as Grammy and Grampy try to comfort their favorite little sheep and get him to sleep.

The story includes colorful artwork, love, and laughs for kids ages 3 and up. You can add the tale to your nightly routine starting on Feb. 27.
