Sonic the Hedgehog, the speed demon and star of Netflix’s series Sonic Prime, often taunts his enemies by saying, “You can’t catch what you can’t see!” With these Sonic Prime Paradox Prism mystery capsules, kids finally can catch what they can’t see.

These multicolored capsules from PMI Kids’ World come in the shape of the Paradox Prism, a powerful and mysterious gemstone from the series that little fans will recall from its hiding spot in Temple Mountain’s cavern in Green Hill. Kids can simply pull apart the capsule to reveal their surprise: one of eight collectible figures!

The figures all hail from the Sonic Prime series: there’s Knuckles the Echidna, Shadow the Hedgehog, two versions of Sonic the Hedgehog, two versions of Tails the Fox, and two versions of Amy the Hedgehog. Each figure stands approximately 2.5-inches tall and comes with a crystal that attaches to the included stand.

Sonic and his buddies make for a fun, affordable gift for budding collectors. Each capsule costs under $5 – a price point that’s harder to find than a successful plan by Doctor Robotnik. And though they’re great for display, they can also come off the stand for kids to engage in some imaginative play before, during, or after their favorite episode of Sonic Prime

Ultra affordable, these collectibles are great for role-play fun, helping kids play out their favorite Sonic moments. And while there are no small parts or pieces, making them safe for kids ages 3 and up, they are best suited for that 6-8-year-old range.

Overall, there’s nothing paradoxical about this toy’s appeal: you can’t beat the price for beloved characters and the timeless joy of a surprise.
