Hans the hedgehog is one of the original Squishmallows, but it’s time for him to share the spotlight with Sonic, the famous blue hedgehog from the SEGA video games.
The Sonic the Hedgehog Squishmallows that first launched a few months ago are making their way online, with plush versions of the classic characters Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow. Sonic and Shadow even have 3D hedgehog spikes coming out of their backs, while Knuckles and Tails have long tails.
Like all Squishmallows, these new additions to the squad are made of soft and squishy spandex “EF” and polyester stuffing that makes each character as puffy as a marshmallow. They’re also machine washable if you throw them in a pillowcase, machine wash on cold, tumble dry on the lowest setting (or air dry), and floof them back to their original shape.
Both Claire’s and BoxLunch are offering the four characters in 8-inch styles available as a mystery purchase. When you buy one for $19.99 at Claire’s or $24.90 at BoxLunch, you’ll receive one of the Sonic characters, but you won’t know which until it arrives. There are also larger versions available at other retailers, like the 10-inch Sonic Squishmallow available at GameStop.
