Halloween is always fun, but it’s even better when kids also get an opportunity to learn! Spooky season is just around the corner, and author Frances Cha is using the occasion to share stories from her Korean heritage that make for an exciting kids’ book!

The Goblin Twins tells the story of 601-year-old Korean trickster twins Doki and Kebi. The goblin twins truly embody the phrase “Trick or treat.” Doki likes to read his books and give people little bags of gold, while his brother Kebi likes to explore and scare people. Doki and Kebi are dokkaebi, creatures from Korean mythology who can either bring great wealth or trouble.

In this tale, the inseparable Doki and Kebi are headed to New York City for Halloween after Kebi hears stories about a strange place where people want to be scared! The twins make their new home together throughout this new adventure while learning about Halloween!
The Goblin Twins will be available at bookstores starting on Sept. 5! The book is the perfect way to integrate multicultural stories into kids’ haunts this year!
