Kids can dive into imagination with new You Choose Adventures stories featuring DC superheroes and Scooby-Doo characters — but instead of through traditional books, these creative tales are told through audio and visual storytelling.

The project is heading to all Google Assistant-enabled devices — such as Nest Hub Max and Android mobile devices — thanks to Capstone, a publisher of educational kids’ content for use in schools and at home.

Families can access the action-packed adventures on Google Assistant’s Interactive Canvas API, which is free for those with the Google Assistant app. The titles in the “You Choose” format will feature multiple story paths that kids can alter through a touch screen or through simple voice commands to decide how Batman, Superman, and Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang will react to situations. There will also be a You Chose Adventures story featuring the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Each story features visual images that correspond to the plot, voice over from a professional voice actor, sound effects, music, foreground text with glossary words and definitions, and multiple story outcomes with on-screen prompts.

Families can search for the You Choose Adventures stories under the “Adventure” and “Interactive” categories on the Google Assistant by saying “Hey Google, tell me a story.”
