School’s out for the summer and if you’re looking for a way to occupy your kids without sitting them in front of the TV for hours on end, it’s not too late to check out Camp GoldieBlox!

Camp GoldieBlox: Adventures at Eureka Point is a free, virtual camp experience designed for kids ages 6-12. This digital experience includes weekly “campisodes” featuring STEM trailblazers, social media influencers, surprise guests, activities, and the opportunity to earn badges and win prizes. The camp was developed in partnership with Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls organization and IF/THEN, an initiative of Lyda Hill Philanthropies that helps spark kids’ interest in future STEM careers.

Every Friday, Camp Goldieblox will premiere a new episode of “Adventures at Eureka Point,” a 10-part STEM adventure series featuring storylines that explore a different science-related topic each week, such as space junk or climate change. The episodes will showcase real experts who also serve as female role models in STEM fields. Kids can also participate in hands-on educational activities that they can do at home.

Episode 1 is available now with a video that follows campers on a scavenger hunt. A bridge collapses and they get stranded in the forest, but the camp’s genius mad scientist enlists some old friends to help, including mechanical engineer and toy maker Debbie Sterling, STEM educator and media entrepreneur Vanessa Hill, and statistician and author Davina Durgana. They rebuild the bridge and make it to the finish line. Kids at home can join in the DIY activity that explores how to make structures stronger through experimenting with toothpicks and gummy candies.
