This spring, the DigiDestined will return to the big screen in Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna for one final adventure.
As part of the Digimon franchise’s 20th-anniversary celebration, Toei Animation and Fathom Events are partnering to give the new movie a one-night theatrical release in the U.S. This special screening is set to take place in theaters nationwide on March 25 at 7 p.m. local time, with tickets going on sale on Feb. 7 at fathomevents.com.
The screening will also include a 15-minute preshow for fans, featuring interviews with Director Tomohisa Taguchi and Chief Animation Director Seiji Tatsukawa.
Last Evolution Kizuna picks up five years after Digimon Adventure tri, the six-part Digimon film series from 2015, and is the last adventure for Tai and his Digimon, Agumon. The movie finds Tai as a university student on the brink of adulthood. He and the other DigiDestined are surprised to discover that as they grow up, they will lose their relationships with their partner Digimons. The DigiDestined must decide: Keep fighting for others and loose that bond faster, or try to hold on?
Catch the movie in theaters on March 25 to find out!
