For the second year FAO Schwarz will offer a unique way to experience its singular charm this holiday season: The toy company has partnered with OMNI Berkshire Hotels and Resorts to offer the FAO-themed hotel stay that’s the stuff of childhood dreams.
The FAO Suite Stay and Play Package will allow guests to stay in the Emerson Suite at the OMNI Berkshire in New York City, a two-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury suite filled to the brim with toys and FAO-theming. There’s classic Norman Rockefeller-type toys, like a model train chugging around a Christmas tree and dozens of teddy bear toy soldiers scattered about. And there’s modern touches to compliment the classic vibe as well: board games sit next to drones, a life-size gorilla plush watches over the bedroom, and a gigantic playable piano mat is ready in the kids’ room.

In addition to the thoughtful curation of toys, the experience will also offer kids a full room service menu of FAO toys. Plus guests will get a private tour of the FAO Schwarz store in Rockefeller Center led by a Toy Soldier, and will be treated to a $100 FAO Gift Card.
“It’s cool seeing the toys in action,” says FAO Schwarz Toy Soldier Ivy, who gave The Toy Insider an advanced look around the suite. “I see the toys everyday, but I usually see them boxed up in packages … There’s a big train over there that the kids have been going crazy for.”
