Wahoo! New Mario content is on the way for this year’s MAR10 Day!
Beloved by little gamers and nostalgic adults alike, Nintendo is readying to celebrate the iconic Italian plumber and hero of the Mushroom Kingdom. With a day fully dedicated to all things Mario, this March 10 will be one to remember!
Mario has a long history. From his start all the way back in the 1981 arcade classic Donkey Kong, to the newest iteration of Nintendo Switch games, the princess-rescuing plumber has seen a huge collection of video games, multiple TV series, and even a recent hit movie. Nintendo is celebrating the character’s rich history with returns to the classics, deals, sweepstakes, and more.
Kids can get in on the nostalgia of old Mario with Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, available on Nintendo Switch Online. Running until April 1, players with a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership can earn Platinum Points by playing Super Mario World, redeeming them for digital as well as physical Mario-themed rewards. Kids can also get deals on the video games they’ve been wishing for, with the Nintendo eShop offering discounts on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Party Superstars, and more.
Kids can also experience the joy of The Super Mario Bros. Movie all over again thanks to the newly released free digital guidebook. The guidebook reveals a number of hidden game references within the movie, sure to make any kid an expert at Mario trivia.

Mario has warp-piped his way beyond the world of entertainment, and into the world of toys! The My Nintendo LEGO Super Mario Sweepstakes offers lucky winners the chance to get their hands on three LEGO Super Mario sets, with popular characters Bowser, Dorrie, and Yoshi. The sweepstakes is available to enter now on the official webpage and will run until April 16.
There are plenty of opportunities for kids to celebrate their favorite game character in person as well. The Nintendo New York store will host a meet-and-greet with Mario and Luigi on MAR10 Day itself, with free giveaways and a screening of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Participating GameStop locations will also offer demos of Mario games, as well as giveaways on March 16.
