We can’t think of a better kick off to Halloween weekend than the premiere of Nickelodeon’s Monster High animated series.

From Nickelodeon and Mattel, the new Monster High series follows the teenage monsters Clawdeen Wolf, Draculaura, Frankie Stein, and Deuce Gorgon as they attend high school, where they discover themselves, embrace their differences, and learn to be fierce and fearless.

The 30-minute series premiere will debut on Nickelodeon on Friday, Oct. 28 with an episode titled “The Monstering,” in which Clawdeen follows her instincts and discovers a school for monsters, AKA Monster High. She isn’t allowed to enroll, but she figures out other ways to get in.

Another new episode will follow, called “Food Fight,” in which Draculaura secretly practices witchcraft, bringing a tater tot to life. Clawdeen and Frankie must help subdue the live potato. Then, in “Unfinished Brain-ness,” Frankie looks for help from Clawdeen and Draculaura to solve a mystery of one of their brains’ past lives.
