R&RGames.SpitItOutIf you’re looking for a new party game to add to your game closet, look no further than R&R GamesSpit It Out!

This super fun trivia party game challenges players to answer most of the questions incorrectly—so if the question is “What is the opposite of big?,” players would have to answer “huge,” “giant,” or “enormous,” as opposed to small—while keeping track of the number of questions they answered so that they can answer two of them correctly. WHAT?! Multitasking.

To start off, the group designates who will be the first spitter. The person to the spitter’s left is the reader. The reader draws six cards that feature relatively simple trivia questions, while the spitter rolls the dice. The numbers that show on the dice are the questions that the spitter must answer correctly, and then they must answer all other questions incorrectly. For example, if the spitter rolls a “2” and a “4,” he or she must answer the second and fourth questions correctly; and the first, third, fifth, and sixth questions incorrectly. Play then passes along to the next person. Sounds relatively simple? Sure, but then add in the 30-second time limit and your heart starts racing a mile a minute while you try to keep track of which number question you’re on and try to figure out the wrong answers!

The added challenge to this game is that all wrong answers have to be somehow related to the category of the right answer. For example, when trying to answer the question “What color is the grass?” incorrectly, players have to say “purple” or “blue” instead of just any random word that isn’t green. The concept of the game is easy to learn, but  tough to master. There aren’t a ton of components to the game, so play itself is relatively simple, which is absolutely ideal for a party game with a bunch of people.

The game is recommended for kids ages 10 and up. This is perfectly fine to grasp the concept of the game, as well as for most of the trivia questions—but some of the questions would be tricky if a 10-year-old had to answer correctly. However, if younger players are getting frustrated trying to figure out wrong answers or with the concept in general, it’s super easy to change the game so you’re playing on teams, giving them a bit of added support. (P.S. I really think I found the game’s target demographic when a bunch of my twenty-something friends and I spent hours on a Saturday night playing this game. It got really competitive. I won though—nbd.)

Spit It Out! is designed for three to eight players (or teams) ages 10 and up.
